Lexmark 5250 all in one do you need to have both the picture ink cartridge and the black ink cartridge?

i have a picture ink cartridge i was wondereing do you need to have the black ink cartridge in with this or the color ink cartridge?

i recommend if you can put in both by all means do i have a Lexmark 5250 all in one and it's good but it sucks too much ink too fast, for some reason color ink cardtiges and black ink cardtriges pictures look a lot better that just regular in cardtriges

no just the color cartridge.
