Maybe you don't. Sometimes i dream so much, I wonder what is real life. Anyways, being able to control your dreams is called lucid dreaming. REM (Rapid eye movement) is the lightest form of sleep. I recommend exercises that i use to do. I'm going to try to explain best as possible. So when u are in bed focus on your body with your eyes closed. Concentrate on major a areas of the body (arms then legs and stomach and so on till you reach your eyes last) and each point imagine that area is dissolving away until you feel it numb and "gone to sleep" (give each point time and concentrate, dont think about work or anything else) you will start to feel like you are spinning and loosing conscience, but don't fight it. By the time you reach your eyes/head you will be entering REM. From there I have always been more conscience of my body and yet still in REM stage. Over time you will begin to "wake up" in your sleep and be more conscience of your dreams. im sure there are many techniques, this is just the one I used.

The jury continues to be out as no one is familiar with for constructive why we dream. some human beings say it has no purpose and "in simple terms happens" others say that's mandatory to our survival. The one million maximum ordinarily mentioned reason as to why we dream is that dreaming is equivalent to how a working laptop or workstation defragments a no longer easycontinual. that's recommended that dreaming is the strategies's way of organizing training into its reminiscence in a greater effective way so as that that's greater effectively remembered later. in the process the day your strategies takes what happens in actual time and shops it quickly. Then at evening once you fall right into a deep sleep, your strategies takes all that training and shuffles it around and shops it into long term reminiscence. This passing of training back and forth is why targets are so often so random and complicated and enables to describe why you're able to be able to dream which you're paddling a banana down a chocolate highway to circulate see your uncle Susan. it may sound bizzare and random, yet its all training which you have won that has been saved mutually on your strategies.

I highly doubt that you can do anything to dream more. The average dream usually lasts about 20 minutes, even though they seem to last longer. I believe that our dreams are simply our inner desires, fears, and feelings being played out from our subconscious. Next time you have a dream that you remember, write down everything when you wake up. Here are some dream intepretation websites that you can visit to figure it all out. Good luck! :-)

Canned tuna fish (not albacore) and hot salsa shortly before bedtime. Not together unless that's how you want it but in the same sitting with mayo, crackers, etc. I think it's the high protein and the capiscam(sp?) that causes crazy dreams. No alcohol since it delays the onset of REM. Good Luck!

Sometimes the case is that you dream a lot during the night, but you don't remember the dreams that you had. So one thing you can try is to repeate to yourself that you will rememeber your dreams. Good luck.

You always dream... even if you don't remember it. The best thing to do is to think of something you want to dream about before going to bed. They say, and I learned this in my college psych. class that before we go to bed we often recap our day or something that has been on your mind and that is what we dream about. So maybe if you know what you want to dream about - or think about something before falling asleep - you may remember it better in the morning.

Put on one of those nicotine patches when you go to bed. It may not make you dream more but your dreams will be more vivid...
