They're cheaper, but do they work just as good? What's the deal? Why doesn't everyone just use that stuff?

Im going to say this and Im sure there will be an uproar and the ink manufacturers will find some way to fix this this. 2 weeks ago my printer was real low on color ink. My husband put Regular food coloring in them. I didnt want him to but did anyway...Im telling you the color is the same. It WORKS. Im sure the ink guys will find a way to make the new cartridges not compatible with food coloring. But for now it works great. i dont know is there black food coloring? If there is we have a market on printer ink for now. All i can say is go buy your cartidges and plenty of food color.

I use them they work great if you refill them right - I only use them ,I have had my printer for 4 years and have never bought a new cartiridge.
plus with the refill kit you can refill 3 or 4 times as to why everyone doesn't use them I guess they have lots of money

Yes and no.

It depends on what type of printouts you make. If it is only black and white documents and the like, then sure, refills will work just fine.

if they're colour photographs, then you're better off buying new cartridges. Reason is that the printing industry makes a ton of money not off the printers, but off the cartridges they sell and it is in their interest to make it as difficult as possible for you to get the same results with a refill. so they do. What that will mean on a colour printout is that it MAY work just perfectly, but then, it may ruin that ONE printout that you need immeditely. In short, you never know when the print out will get messed up.

So its up to you if you're willing to pay for that peace of mind.

I've been using ink refills on my stylus 3200x for a little over 2 years now. No problem so far and the pictures and documents look fine. I must've saved my self a good couple of c-notes.

We use the black refill in our office all the time, works great on our lexmark printer. we can refill each about 3 or 4 times before we have to get a new one.

yes refilling your cartridges works.

some brands are more of a hassle then others... but you just should try it once to know if this applies to your cartridges.

saves money, but on some models the print quality just not meets the original stuf.

try it for yourself!
