I have had the same problem. So i know what you are going through, so this is what you must do. Go to this website http://www.iolo.com/sm/
Then download System Mechanic professional 6. After you have installed it run drivescrubber2. After that is done restart the pc. You have fixed your problem. The problem was a error buffer over flow that needs to be fixed right away. And this program will fix it like nothing was ever there. You are done and your pc is like brand new and nothing was ever there.

Most likely your sound card does not have an IRQ (an available memory address) it can use. If that is the case, you have to adjust the jumper settings on the sound card. If you have an instruction sheet, that would help. If you don't, that's a problem. You'll never be able to figure out the right jumper settings.

Another reason could be that your sound card is defective. Your sound card should come with an installation disk. Try reinstalling the software.

Okay, here's a simple reason: Are your speakers plugged into your computer's sound card?

Make sure that the speakers are plugged into the sound card. Also make sure that the power plug to the speakers is plugged into the wall outlet.
