yes.... the very essence of exchanging wisdom and thoughts is the very foundation of a man's character. in a conversation, you get too know his intense feelings, his valued traits, his dedications in life, his focus, his reasons, his meanings... "the deeper one goes in a hole, the more intricate it becomes"...

Yes, and no... The main traits, you can pick up on, but there are aspects of a person that are forever changing. In a life time you might have known someone all your life, and still find new things.
I can't help you with who wrote the qoute.

omg, i disagree!!!!!!! so you are basically saying, that empirical knowledge is worthless. THATS BS!
First of all, for an 'average' person that quote is false, as they would need to be very perceptive, inquisitive, ask a lot of questions, know the characteristics of the 'persona' know about empathy, know about social, psychological and cultural factors, etc etc.
OH and btw, PLATO also believed in a slavic society, so for me hes sayings are tainted!

Hmmm not certain about that one, the only thing that rings a bell for me, is the quote that goes:

Listen to what someone says, but watch what they do.
Meaning you can learn alot from people actions, versus what comes out of their mouth.

ACTION speaks louder than words.
Old and true.

doubtful . if your life time friend lied often you probably know this person is a liar . if someone lies to you for an hour you know nothing about this person though you might think you do .
