i don't worry about what others think, i buy what i like. my daughter and i like some of the same stuff, and i find some really cool one of a kind stuff in vintage clothing/thrift stores.
i found a really cool store called forever 21 that has really cool clothes in real women sizes not just size 0-3!!!

You could try Maurices they have very nice clothes without looking to old-lady-like. Go to www.maurices.com They have great Casual Clothes, Clothes for Work, Dresses, Shoes, Swimsuits, Jeans ect... Hope This Helps!

I like the Newport News catalog. I don't have to leave the house. The clothing is affordable and up to date. They have trendy pieces and classic pieces. Everything from coats and suits to sweaters and trousers. I like to mix and match the trendy stuff with the classic stuff. At our age (not so old...right!??!) it is nice to have a bit of both. Their return policy is generous...but most of their stuff is true to size, so you won't probably need to return much. Check it out on line...in your search box Newport News/ shopping.
