There used to be an old saying.......
Red sky at night , Shepard's delight
Red sky in morning , Shepard's warning.
The red sky at night refers to the following day will be fine , and the morning sky being red is a sign of bad weather to come.

"red sky at night, sailor's delight
red sky in morning, sailors take warning"
This old rhyme never fails... if the sky is red at night (or orange) you should look for a warm sunny day ahead!

Where I live it probably means there's a forest fire nearby. The smoke turns the sky orange.

Particles in the air- could be a humid day, pollution, etc.. They cause the light to refract during sunset or sunrise, and you'll see more vivid colors.
