My husband had a predinsone shot about six weeks ago and is now on prednisone pills for a kidney problem. He went from weighting 184 to 215...and counting.

I've known 2 people with this drug and it is a tough one. You may want to work with him to keep his exercise level up, keep his joints moving and carefully monitor his weight.

Also, if he's not drinking steam-distilled water, I suggest you get a steam distiller and use it at home.

weight gain can be a continuing problem. Typically the prescribing physician will try to taper them off as soon as possible and then your husband will have to work on diet and exrcise to lose that weight. good luck
