It's normal to be more tired when you're awakened by an alarm clock, because the alarm forcefully "jars" you out of sleep even if you're in the middle of a sleep cycle. When you wake up naturally, your body has brought itself through the normal progression of sleep stages and so it's ready to be awake and stay awake by the time you wake up.
I agree with the other answers that if it's 7:30 when you wake up to pee, you should just count your blessings and resist the temptation to crawl back into bed for those last 20 minutes. I do the same thing, though, so I know what a temptation it can be. What's worse is when you wake up to pee and feel energized, and it's 4:00 am...

The same thing happens to me and many other people. When you get 8 full hours of sleep you go into deep sleeps since you've been resting longer so you want to keep on resting instead of waking up. Sleeping for 4 or 5 hours you don't give your body a chance to rest that long for it to not want to wake up. I suggest sleeping 8 hours, showering in the morning and eating breakfast and you'll be fully energized.

Say if I slept 5 hours and then day after as we talk slept 8 hours i'm nonetheless drained from the day previous. in case you sleep a minimum of 8 hours often happening in many cases you will experience superb. I want 10 hours additionally yet some days i'm getting purely 5 or 6 and because of this i admire greater sleep. Do in spite of feels greater appropriate to your physique, you already know what's merely right.

Well every human body needs exactly 8 hours of rest not less not any more then 8 hours. while ontop of resting is important you need a form of excersize walking is a great way to get the body moving, muscles stretching heart rate up and blood pumping through out your body (circulation) that should keep you away when you do wake in the morning plus it also helps to keep busy. Jobs volunteering are some ways to keep busy but once your body gets in a schedule it will be more easierto sleep at night and wake up on time our bodies are amazing tools they even heal themselves.try it, for 2 weeks set up a schedule to plan out your days and i'm sure you'll go right to sleep and wake up energized....Good Luck

That is such a good question because I have the very same thing happen to me. It seems like sometimes we don't really need 8 hours, right? I always feel better with 6 or 7 hours, much more happy and like I can do more for the whole day. But if I sleep in, my whole day is ruined because I feel like a slug. I would like to know why also. Sorry that I don't have an answer.

It has to do with the stage of sleep you are in. When you wake to go to the bathroom, you are not in a deep sleep. However, when your alarm clock goes off, you probably are. So, you still feel tired.

when you sleep less than 6 or seven hours, you might wake up feeling refreshed but you will become tired faster becuase you are not sleeping lon enough to let your body unwind. I am the same way if i wake up at 7:30 i feel fine but i still want to sleep so when i wake up 20 or 30 minutes later i feel more tired than what i did. i think its becuase our body is not used to sleeping only 20 minutes and is in the process of shutting down when we wake it up all over again. So it gives us the feeling of being more tired than before.

Alarm clocks are man's worst enemy. Train yourself to wake up naturally, and you will wake up energized. The ringing clock always disturbs sleep, so you are going to feel groggy if you use those infernal things.

i Have the same problems, I think it has to do with rebelion I dont like being told when to wake up ( alarm clock) its like a rude awakening, nobody really wants something blasting in ther ear while there trying to sleep. It more then likely is the type of sleep you get, I havent studied it much but I know there are studies out there, power naps are a form of meditation where you get the amediate rest you need to contiune on. Any way good lok with your quest to good sleep.

I could very likely be that after you pee you are dehydrated from the peeing and need to drink more water... also not everyone needs 8 hours i myself do best on six... so you may be over sleeping... also if you fall asleep for more than fifteen minutes but less than two hours you awaken seemingly more tired than when you fell asleep because your mind just recently entered REM but didn't stay there long enough to rest fully... or you were in REM too long and so your brain has run out of the chemicals that you need to stay asleep.
