He showed he's back to his pre-injury form... just in time to play Pittsburgh in Week 3. It will be his first game against the Steelers since that playoff loss. Ignore the matchup for one moment; this game will be a tough one for Carson from a mental standpoint of facing the defense that shredded his knee. Of all the games on the '06 schedule, this is the one where Palmer owners can actually consider sitting him out.

Palmer looked good but until he plays a tough defense such as Steelers(next week) and the Ravens, I will hold my opinion. He will make all sort of plays and put up big numbers but as someone previously said, next week when he plays the Steelers (especially at Heinz Field) the mental part will play a MAJOR role. Bengals want to prove that with Carson they would have beat them in the playoffs as well as this game and Steelers will want to prove that with or without Palmer they can beat the Bengals. I look for this to be a game where just one turnover could make the difference. Also I think you may see alot of penalties called just because emotions are so high and that could also play a very big part in the outcome as well.

He's looking pretty good, though his game against the Chiefs was a little sub-par. I don't think last year's injury is much of a concern at this point.

I was unhappy about the first game but the second game was better, much improvement still to be made.
