Did you cry, scream or break anything watching Daunte Culpepper's performance today? Do you think he should be benched?

Daunte Culpepper has always been the over-hyped quarterback who can only "make it" with a superb team in front of him, and even then it can be dicey.

Talented quarterbacks who still fail, often lack the talent to understand THEIR personal huge responsibility to the team performance. They have the "TO syndrome."

"Somebody doesn't respect me."
"The coach is mean to me"
"I don't get enough protection"
"I only want to play for a 'contender'"
"The defense, (offensive line, receivers, running backs, special teams) let us down today"

They fail as team leaders. This is a great year to watch this phenomenon in action:

Culpepper in Miami,
Brooks in Oakland,
Plummer in Denver,
Collins in Tennessee,
Warner in Arizona,

There are quite a few more examples you can see in the NFL. To fully understand the phenomena of unworthy quarterbacks just look at the opposite side of the coin, quarterbacks who show up ready to play no matter what, no matter where. Guys who just go out and earn the paycheck every damn Sunday:

McNair in Baltimore,
Brees in New Orleans,
Batch in Pittsburg

And perhaps one of the most unfairly treated quarterbacks of all time who still went out and gave 110% every game, Doug Flutie!

(Culpepper is NO FLUTIE, Miami, and therein lies your problem!)

No. I'm a Vikings fan. It's hard, but you get used to these performances after a while.

Daunte Culpepper is the NFL's version of "manic-depressive performance"

If there's anything I can tell you about Daunte, it's this: He'll either have a monster game (25/30, 380 yds, 4 TD, 0 int) or a horrendous game (15/32, 155 yds, 1 TD, 3 int, 4 fumbles). I almost never saw a 20/32, 230 yds, 2TD, 1 int (typical for most QBs) game from him.

I laughed. After having the worst season of his career last season, then getting injured, he had the nerve to ask for more money. He also is not much of a team player. After getting injured, he was on the sidelines cheering on his team only ONCE last season. Matt Birk was out all last season, but was always on the sidelines helping out.

There are two things the Culpepper needs to have a good game: A WR of Randy Moss caliber, who will go to the ball instead of have the ball thrown to him, and a very good offensive line that can stop and hold the defense for the 2 hours that Culpepper likes to hold on to the ball before throwing it. When he gets sacked or pressured, he starts trying to make things happen that are not there, and makes mistakes.

So, on behalf of all Viking fans, I would like to thank you, the Miami Dolphins, for relieving us of his dead weight, and giving us (from what we seen in preseason) a very good QB for the future.

From a MInnesota Vikings fan... Thank god he is the Dolphins problem now. It is not the last INT or Hehe... fumble you will see from him. Good luck... By the way, the Vikings with Brad johnson are 2-0...

I cried for joy, I broke the cork on my champange and I watched Daunte's performance knowing that this man is no longer a Minnesota Viking. Thanks for the second rounder that turned into Taz Jackson.

That's right, you'll be hearing his name a year from now.

I am a Patriots fan and in my opinion, the Dolphins are incredibly hyped. I wouldn't expect much from them this season. They will never beat the Pats.
