To AzOasis8: Maybe your life would be different right now if you never started? Well, congratulations for deciding to quit smoking and hope you stick to it. Thank you for answering my question.

I smoked for 43 years. I decided I wanted to quit and I haven't even wanted another cigarette. This past June 17th. it was 3 yrs. since I quit. I don't feel any different at all. I never had breathing problems. loss of taste/smell when I was smoking so I haven't gained anything except a bit more money in my pocket. Also I know I can do anything I really want to & I proved it to people who had no faith in me.

I've smoked for about 20 years now... IF I hadn't started smoking, I would never have met the evil trailer-trash ex-wife... I wouldn't drink near as much... and my health would be far better.
If I take smoke prices as $2 a pack for first 5 yrs, the $3 for next 10 yrs, then $5 for the last 5 yrs... that is a savings of $23,725.

I've been a smoker for 28 years, I quit 43 days ago. My life hasn't changed dramatically.

Well, I would probably have fewer mosquito bites since I have to go outside to smoke. I'd be a heck of a lot richer since I spend a fortune on cigarettes and I'd probably not be coughing so much. But other than that, thats probably all.

well i'd surely have more money. i also smoke outside my house so i could stay in and not get cold and wet etc...
i wouldnt smell like smoke! no cough,could taste stuff again and i could go on & on but i need to go out and have a smoke!!
