The study show that black borrowers are 3.9 times as likely to end up with a refinance loan from a high-cost "subprime" lender than whites, while hispanics are 1.6 times likely, even after factoring out income and the loan income ratio.

There are TONS of options for refinance loans. A lot of people who end up settling and dealing with predatory lenders do it because they are uneducated and being taken advantage of.

Don't blame racism for everything. People need to do their homework and get informed when it comes to home loans.

Your question assumes that humans are racists
.
I don't know that your study is necessarily correct. I don't care about the races of humans (it's insiginficant). I do care about the human race, however. I've got at least four million years of evolution in my DNA that says that DNA will do anything to survive, and race, color, creed, or religion are trivial factors.

My darling grand-daughter has not noticed that the white on my skin has not rubbed off on her. Grampa smiles, and just notes that racism, or accusations of racism, will no longer be useful in the future for political gains.

As far as business, nobody discriminates. Business cares only about hard work and being paid on time.

Boycott anybody who disagrees with me on this matter, and all will be harmonious.

Money talks. Racism is a political matter. I only have seen racism from idiots and politicals who make money off it, and they don't last very long. Screw 'em, and party on, homo sapiens sapiens!

I think EVERYONE is racist-- it's just a matter of to what degree, and how well that person fights those impulses.
I know people of all races who make blanket statements about different groups.... You don't get a free pass to make comments against other groups just because you feel you are "oppressed."

Everyone needs to look into their own hearts & stifle the impulse to judge someone on the basis of an outward appearance.
Look at what's inside-- is the heart ugly, or kind? Actions are what count.

I think that stereotypes are based on truth, such as black liking watermelon and fried chicken and white not being able to dance or have rhythm.

I've met plenty of whites, blacks, hispanics, Asians and Pacific Islanders all over the world who are racist towards some group of people, so I think racism is a matter of personal choice.

Statistically, when a black family moves into a neighborhood, 3 families move out. Once a white neighborhood becomes 20% black, the whites move out rapidly and the neighborhood becomes 80% black within the next 4 years.

However, I think your statistic, and the statistic that I quoted are crap, because most Africans I know HATE African Americans because of the type of attitudes about responsibility that you've mentioned, and then they get lumped in with them.

honestly.. i couldn't really say. I have a problem with the ignorant people living in our country and not speaking english. If you're going to move here from a different country and try to force your beliefs on us... then get the hell out. There's the boat..or plane. How I feel about people being racist... it's their own opinion. So be it..if you don't like me because I'm white...then that's your prerogative. And I definitely think it matters.
Thats just my opinion....

I don't really think it matters even though there are many of those who do care for some reason. It's not a big deal, and basically everyone is the same thing.

I feel sad for people that are racist cuz they're missing out on so many people that could make a difference in their lives and life is too short for hatred. My husband is African-American and I'm Mexican and I thank God our families have never had any issues with our Mix marriage.

No...it does not matter if one is racist...it is a part of or constitution...but...if one uses their racist views to intentionally deny credit(or housing or job) to someone based on race that is illegal (EqualCreditOpportunityAct)
