I can't really give you a diagram in the answer because it's text base, but I can try to describe it for you.

Think of a story line as a mountain. At the left base of the mountain is the introduction of setting, characters, and the conflict. Next, halfway up the left side, is the rising action, which are the events that lead up to the climax. At the peak of the mountain is the climax. The entire right side of the mountain is the resolution.
