Put on some music and get going. Put everything in a pile and start dividing between what you need to keep and what is no longer needed. Donate the stuff you no longer want but know someone else can use. Throw away the garbage.
Divide the stuff you plan on keeping into their their respective piles by type, then put them away. Vacuum up. Good luck!

Break down the cleanup into several chunks, like putting your clothes back or stashing the books. Assign each chunk to a different day, and on that day, crank up the music and start a timer for, say, an hour. Work as fast and hard for that hour as you need to to complete one chunk, then kick back guilt free.

The music idea is great, as is inviting friends over to help...you can also set a timer and do the work in stages. This will make the task not seem quite as daunting. Reward yourself with a break for pizza or something as well...enjoy!

Get one or some of your best friends to help you and blask music. I remember once my friend and i painted the garage and it was so much fun cuz we had a paint fight, we had music and we talk about almost everything. After that day we became best friends and we're styl today. Also try to decorate it in a fun way to keep you entertained

Well, I just finished re-doing my room pretty good too. I'd say put some music on. Have your friends help you. Or just don't do it alone. It really helps to listen to something while you're cleaning and getting organized. Good luck!

initiate at present and take particular parts of your room at one time. to illustrate do the mind-blowing side at present, center tommarrow and left side the following day that way you do no longer sense overwhelmed by making use of feeling such as you're able to do all of it at present. yet ensure you shop in spite of you have wiped sparkling sparkling. Do you have an ipod or transportable cd with headphones you could placed on? you do no longer could blast track so as to bathe. turn the track on yet shop all of it the way down to a common quantity or maybe low quantity. that could probable be extra effective than no track in any respect. sturdy success!

My kids hate cleaning their rooms, too. What I do to make it at least a tolerable chore, is to get them all hopped up on Mountain Dew, and let them crank the stereo to whatever station they want. And then I help them with it, or else I have them invite their friends over to help them. All my kids had at least one super neat freak friend, and they really help keep them motiviated. Try to get as much done in one day as humanly possible.......the longer you let it drag on, you loose your motivation.

Put everything away in order of color groups. So light bulbs go with white underwear and printer paper.
