Life still carries on regardless of how you hurt in side, and they are still with you, i know its like you will never see or feel them again, but take heart, its the love you have for them, and them for you that will eventually get you to remember them without so much pain inside. they will guide you through your life, just still continue to speak to them in your quiet moments, after all they really are only a whisper away.

It starts by thinking about the truth of human existance. That truth tells us that we will all die at some point. No one has every escaped that fact.
Since dying is a matter of when and not it, we should focus on what happens while we are alive. Whe someone close to us dies it is very natural to be sad, but thinking about the good times and savoring those memories is what works best. We never forget that loss, but we do put it in perspective. The one that is gone would not want us to stop living and enjoying our time on earth.

I have lost a father an best friend an I truly think you never get over it but you have to look at others that are living an realize they need you to become strong for them, and always keep in mind >>love the ones while they are still alive and losing people I love made me appreciate others even more that I still have in my life and not take them for granted. So keep your head up every day you wake an try to smile for the people you still have living.

unfortunately I have a great deal of experience at this.
Firstly, it's important to grieve. In the old days, we actually set thebodies out for all to see and touch. I think that was helpful. There's something that happens to you when you can actually walk right up to your mom or dad, or whoever it is and SEE their lifeless bodies, touch them and feel that they're no longer alive. It's a horrible thing, but it really helps you understand that they're no longer in there. Something happens to you inside that helps you separate. Cry a lot. Really let it out. You're going to miss them terribly. Admit it. Talk about that with others.
Then, start with organization. Depression wants to set in, and one of the best ways to not get depressed is to get organized. Make a to-do list every day at first. get up out of bed in the morning, and start your day. Setup your routine, and stick with it. If you begin noticing the telltale signs of depression- oversleeping, anxiety, worrying about your own health, lowered standards of personal hygiene, etc... Get back on the ball. If it gets unmanageable, ask for help. First from a friend. Then a professional if it's really going downhill.
Give yourself something to look forward to at all times, and have something to do. Get back into life as quickly as you can. Whoever it was that you lost would want it that way.

If you find out let me know, my sister died in March and we were very very very close. I guess you just have to deal with it, I'm pretty spiritual though so I know she's still with me and around me and watching over me. My husband, dog, kitties, mother and taking care of this house everyday sure helps to keep me busy working through her not being around anymore though. Pray alot, there is solace in prayer. Good Luck

well, for quite a while you don't. my dad died 10 years ago, and i had a nervous breakdown which lasted 18 months... im alright (ish) now, but at the time it almost destroyed me. its grief, and its quite normal. we all grieve in different ways, and for differng lenghts of time. but, however yuo deal with it, it that feeling of loss and despair eventually fades into the background.it never goes away. we just learn to deal with it a bit better. and life goes on.

How do you move on? I'm sorry about your loss, but that's exactly what you do. Move on! One day at a time focusing on the positives and your future. Acknowledging the negatives, but not dwelling on them. Death is the final act of life; it's natural and eventually welcome. Move on; that's all there is to it.

My little boy passed away and i'm not over it... You'll never actually be over it but as time goes on it will get better... You just have to take it one day at a time basically...
