i am getting my first tattoo and people tell me it won't hurt but others tell me it will? on a scale of 1-10 how bad did it hurt you...honestly!?

It all depends on where you get it really, and your personal pain tolerance.

I personally describe getting a tattoo as painful at very first then a slight burning sensation followed by numbness which I tend to enjoy .On a scale of 1-10 I would say a 4

It depends on where you get it, but on a scale of 1-10, the one on my back was about a 6. However, that was only at first, and as time went on, it hurt less and less because the body sends natural painkillers to where the tattoo is being done, and my friends were distracting me by talking to me!

It depends on where you get your tattoo. If you get somewhere like on your arm or leg where there is more meat, it won't hurt that bad. But if you get in on your back or foot, it will be painful. My tattoo didn't hurt that bad, I will say about a 3!

I think it all depends on where you get the tat at on your body and how big a tat you get. I have one tat and it is on my lower back right above my behind, it is about 5 inches wide and 2 inches high...it hurt like h*ll..I would say an 8 or 9.

Like everyone else, it depends on where you get it. I have 2 tats. My first one was on my shoulder and was probably like a 4 in pain level. I just got my second one on the top of my foot and that was like an 7 or 8.
It's really painful, its more of an annoyance.

Depends on where u´re getting it. If u get one near a bone, like ur ribs for exampe, it hurts a lot (9-10). But if u get on ur leg or arm, it´s doesn´t hurt that much (3-4)!

i dont have a tattoo but my bf does. take a sewing needle. have someone press it on your skin in the same spot back and froth in the same line about 10-15 times. if u can handle it then it wont hurt as much as you think. but it does hurt either way.

3....I have four tatoos. They are addictive. It all depends on how well your pain tollerance is and where the tattoo is going to go ...dont be a scardy cat.

your body goes into shock at first and sometimes after beginning a tat you will need to take a short rest. after that you will be fine and will be able to resume at about a 4. i personally enjoy it . after you get one ,you become addicted and can't wait to get another one. good luck.
