but every six months I buy a bottle of vodka and gin and drink it alone and cry.

Not most of the time. I drink about 1 time a year and when I do I usually get drunk, so on that specific occasion I would suppose that I do abuse alcohol.

Well, I'm on the wagon right now. But it is in my nature to abuse alcohol! I have abused it many many times! I have a problem. I am trying to overcome it, but I feel as though I'm losing the battle a lot! It's like this.: On the wagon: Off the wagon -On the wagon: - Off the wagon. - On the wagon, - Off the wagon! I make it a point to smack the bottom of a bottle of shiraz daily before I open it, and gleefuly pour it into my glass, and imbibe. Does this constitute abuse?

No, I don't binge when I drink. Only a couple of drinks, max every other weekend or so.
