I never should ahve bought this bloody wlakman mp3 player but its too late now.

I used to have problems getting connect player to register my walkman, and now even witha new computer its still not registering it!!

I've uprgraded the firmware of my player, ive got teh newest version of connect player too, any ideas on how to sort this?

ALSO - when i try accessing my walkman through sonicstage, i get the error message:

"The connected ATRAC audio device cannot be used with teh currently installed sonicstage, you must delete all tracks in the audio device or initialize the hard disk of the audio device."

Any one have any ideas or solutions to help me?

My two daughters have three Sony players between them and swap about 11gb of tracks around and add music continuously with no problems using SS. It seems that SS either works fine first time or is a nightmare for some users. Try formatting your player as requested, make sure your USB cable/connection is ok. It will take a few seconds before the player appears in the list. If you change computers you have to back up your tracks from SS, you can't just copy the folder, it won't work that way. You can call Sony or file a help request on line if you are still stuck.

Just bypass all that and open the player in "my computer". It will look like a jump drive. Drag and drop or delete whatever files/folders you want from the player.

Done!
