whipping in other countries?
we dont condone corporal punishment in america but if we as american tourists coomit a crime in some other countries can we be whipped also or are we exempt?

If you as a tourist commit a crime in another country you are bound by their laws. Do you not remember a few years ago about the boy who was caned in I think it was Phillipines for something he did? Only Major politicians can be immune from punishment.....that includes here.

Is that just typical or what? Do you seriously think that if you break the law in another country and the 'regular' people would be whipped for that crime, that you 'special' people would be....what...forgiven? I vote this the stupidest question of the day.

You expect others to follow your laws while in your country, you must afford the other countries the same respect. If you break a law, you must take the punishment

each country has it's own law and orders,being an American means what? you are not exempted from that country's rule and regulations..

..and yes, we are one of the only first world countries that still have captial punishment.
