i used a opk this month, and yesterday i got a surge.

i never noticed any cm yesterday or the day before when my husband and i had sex though, but today i got alot of sticky cervical mucus.

do you think i had enough cm in me to keep the sperm inside long enough? i'm starting to get worried i may have missed my egg again this month.

Fertile cm is either watery or egg white. My Ob/Gyn told me that just because the opk detects your lh surge doesn't mean that is when you will ovulate or that you will at all. After the lh surge is detected you "usually" ovulate sometime in the next 3 days..this could be a large window of time if you are just having sex only when you see the + sign. The only way to confirm ovulation each month is to chart your Basal Body Temp each morning at the same time before you get out of bed. This will allow you to see a pattern of temps leading up to ovulation and when ovulation actually occurs. A wonderful website I use is Fertilityfriend.com...It automatically charts everything for you, shows you a clear graph, tells you when you ovulate, shows if you have an implantation dip in your temps, charts your cm, body signs, and everything else. I think you will find this site extremely helpful...Oh, and it is FREE!!! Good Luck and lots of BABY DUST to you!!

I got pregnant on fertility treatments, injections to be specific, and I don't recall ever having EWCM, but I still ended up pregnant, so you might be okay. Lots of people just get pregnant with wet or sticky CM. However, if you seem to be having problems conceiving, you might want to try to find the sperm friendly lubricant, PRESEED. It's specifically for trying to conceive. I have only seen it online, but there are some good deals on ebay. You may also want to call a local pharmacy and ask them if it's something they can special order for you. I know that when I was a pharmacy tech at Kmart we ordered stuff for customers all of the time that we didn't carry standard. Good luck!
