Yes, It's the Ultimate sport. You need full physical prowess to partake in gymnastics, whilst in any other sport you can just pick up the equipment and start playing. I don't believe the judges should decide who wins though, there should be a definite way of deciding without using peoples' opinion.

Some say that events where there are judges like gymnastics, figure skating, etc. can't be sports because there's is no clear winner like in football....your get points for TD's and baseball, you get points, well runs, for the runs and at the end there is a clear and undisputable winner. Judges are just that....judges. I think it is a sport...there's training, practice and competition involved. I guess it depends on the definition of sport.

definitely. I work at a gym. Our team girls are there 4 days a week, 4-5 hours a day. They are in better condition than I, or most adults are. They are competitive, they train hard. They are part of a team, but also it's an individual sport. Definitely a sport.

Absolutely!!!!! With the amount of physical energy that goes into a routine it wouldn't be right to not call it a sport.

Yes, it is. Gymnasts work as hard as any other athlete in any other sport to perfect what they do, and to undermine their work is an insult, and anybody who says otherwise probably can't even do a cartwheel.

I was in gymnastics for a couple years. I really believe it is a sport. It takes practice, patience & talent. And, there's competition. Why not?

yes, it´s a sport.
but like surf, skating, equestrian, etc, the winners of championships are choosen, they dont "win". it´s more like a movie awards.
but we have sports like chess, poker, automobilism, etc, whose players win, but some people says that aren´t sports cause its use more brain than body.
