I was just wondering why so many people think that a hard-working teenagers' life is SO much easier than adults. Granted our lives are easier than adults but when I here some people talk about us they say that we have it so easy. I have all honors and Biology along with chores, community service, extra-curricular activities, and I have to deal with peer pressure and family issues. I just want to know why many people think so little us.

They think that because we have different troubles.
They might have to deal with mortgages and stuff, but we're _going through puberty_, trying to prepare ourselves for the rest of our lives, dealing with school, peer pressure, trying to find an identity and not get killed doing it.
Maybe they're jealous because we can actually relax?

The reason is because in 10 years, you won't care about those honors, Biology, or chores, etc. Nobody will even remember you did them.
Adults feel like everything they do right now will impact their future (job choice, marriage, kids, etc.)

Not that people think little of you, just that they know how naive you are. There are several smart kids but some are naive of what they do and how it can affect their lives in the future. Overall , all the comments you may hear is trying to tell the youth to be careful.

They think so little of you because they think you know everything and that you are never wrong i'm not trying to be mean but thisid the truth because I knew a teen just like you and when one of my friends told him the right answer he went up to the board and put the answer he thpught was right and the person that was right was my friend

Nobody thinks "little" of you. People have high expectations of you becasue people perceive teens as our "future".
Face it though...most of you don't have to worry about mortgages, child support, utility bills, career advancement, child care, visitation arrangements with divorced spouses, 401K plans, etc, etc...that most "adults" have to worry about. So please enjoy being carefree while you still can!

DO YOU HAVE TO PAY RENT OR GO TO WORK? YOU CHOOSE THE ACTIVTIES YOU IN RIGHT NOW....ADULTS DONT FOR THE MOST PART...ITS NOT AS ENJOYABLE
