I really suck at learning languages, but I found German way easy. Like every other word is cognate so even if you have no clue what a sentence means, most of the words are similar enough to be understood. For example:
"Das ist mein Apfel" That is my apple.
"Mein Auto ist gut" My car is good.

For some german is hard after spanish, because it has a deep accent. I would suggest french or portugese next. But go for german if you want to.

German is grammatically close to English, too both languages often share the same words. Learn it if you have the opportunity.
Wenn sie auf Deutsch schreiben, ist das alle bessere.

My best friend is taking German class right now. She loves it but she has to study every single day. And she gets to go to Germany. Worth it, isn't it? ;-)

German is actually not all that hard. Compared to French, it's easy.
