Do you think the movie would be a hit?
Does anyone still think Pat. Swayze is good looking? Why?

There has already been a dirty dancing 2 - havana nights.

I don't think that they should do another movie, as dirty dancing was timeless, and there would be a lot to live up too, even though the original actors would be in it.

Even though I think that Patrick Swayze is a god in dirty dancing, he has unfortunately lost all of his looks (he is nearly 60). But I choose to remember him as a young-in.

Well... It depends. If the movie was about them as adults finding each other again and all those feelings being rekindled, yes, I think Swayze and Grey would be perfect. I think the fans would expect it, also.

But if the movie was to be about a more updated version, with, say, kids at the same resort but now dancing to hip-hop, then of course NO. Swayzw and Grey would be too old for that.... UNLESS the two now worked at that resort.

I just had to add this: so many of you saying Swayze is old and he need diapers and walkers and such. He's not that old... he was born in 1952 so he's around 54. You think that is old? LOL. Wait until you are 54... you won't think that is so old then. Swayze is a trained dancer and I'm sure he is still in excellent shape. In fact, considering how so many kids these days do nothing but sit playing video gams, play on computers and watch TV, I bet Swayze is in BETTER shape than a lot of you. Anyway, when YOU turn 50, let's talk.

That movie was made 20 years ago, she has had a nose job that changed her looks dramatically and she is unrecognizable as the same person. Patrick Swayze, while still quite fit and nice looking does indeed look his age (54). A sequel was made in 2004 called Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights, and Swayze has a smaller role.

Just purchase the movie and enjoy it again and again.

Of course they should star in DD2.Casting anyone else in movie would make it seem like a cheap imposter.I think they should also cast Patricks real life wife as a mean ol hard drinking, hussy .Patricks character should have his own successful dance studio in NYC and backing the movie with a good supporting cast will help make it. Patricks character could accidently meet up with Jennifer Greys character in NYC ( fall scenery in Central park etc.) As Patricks characters marriage unravels he and Jennifers character could reunite and fall in love. We'll assume Jennifer Greys character is a wealthy millionare who's been devoting her time to noble causes yet all the while has felt that something was missing.Hey somebody ought to get cracking on a script for this thing pronto!

No to all three questions. It's been too long since the first movie, which is why a second one wouldn't be a hit. As for the "why" on the last question: 'cause I'm a guy, that's why. I did like the original movie a lot, however.

You misued the quotation marks in your question.

It should read "actor" Patrick Swayze and "actress" Jennifer Gray.

They're unquestionably both real people. Their acting is what's in doubt.

Patrick Swazye looks awful and Jennifer Grey had a nose job, she's unrecognizable now.

Besides, I think they're a little too old for a new movie with them to be believable.

Not so much - I can't remember where I saw the outtakes, but evidently the two actors could barely stand each other, and there were tense moments during filming. So, hum, even though it might be an interesting chick film, it's probably best that a sequel not happen.

NO. The movie would flop. Swayze is still good looking.
