I never had my own room. Never. First I had to share a room (and a bed) with my sister. Then I got married and had to share a room (and a bed) with my husband. You really have nothing to complain about. At 20, your sister is far too young (and no doubt too poor) to have her own home.

When you're done with school and have a job and can support yourself you can live where and as you want. Until then, deal with it.

Why is your 20 year old sister still living at home? Does she work? Has she heard of roommates? A teenager needs to be prepared to be out on their own after age 18. Once your sister became an adult she should have been out on her own. Your mom is not doing your sister a favor by letting her be dependent beyond the age of majority.

The other side of the coin is that it is your mother's house. What she wants goes. Make sure you strive to be out on your own at age 18 or 19 so you can have your own room, even if it is sharing an apartment with roommates. As long as your mom is paying the bills, buying your clothes and food, and taking care of you until age 18, you just need to buck up and live with it. I'm sure if she could afford a bigger place she would have gotten one by now. Your complaining about it doesn't put more money in your mom's pocket so she can afford a bigger place. All it does is make everyone around you unhappy. Try harder to think of your mother and what she goes through instead of yourself. Apologize to your mom and do something nice for her.

When you get older you will get your own room. The reasons you don't have your own room can be; Your home doesn't have enough bedrooms. Not everybody can afford a house or apartment with more than 1 or two bedrooms. I think you sister is to young to have a house for herself. You acting very childish, spoiled and self fish. You are not the only one...
