Depending on what "expert" is weighing in, it should be a personal choice between two people. Some people experience additional sexual pleasure. You have to be cautious of cross contamination. Lubricant and and a condom should be a requirement and never go from the anal cavity directly to the vagina. There are bacteria from fecal matter you wouldn't want elsewhere.

Having said that, my gyno said that he did NOT recommend it, because it is not what the anus was built for. I understand that some people treat an orifice as an orifice, but the anus is meant to control bowel movements, and a vagina is meant to birth a child and for having 'sex', which takes in a whole genre of activities these days.

My daughter had anal fissures that caused her pain and bleeding. When they would act up and she'd go see her gyno (we had the same one), he was always asking her if she practiced anal sex. She'd tell him, "NO!" He would nod and say, "Good, good, that will help you heal." My daughter couldn't imagine someone enjoying sex when they got fissures from it and would bleed from it. He would shake his head and say, "You just wouldn't believe how many messed up anuses I look at every day because their boyfriend wants them to have anal sex." Well. it IS tighter. Maybe the guy has a smaller penis and a regular vagina isn't enough for him?

Just don't do anything you're uncomfortable doing, especially if it hurts. Most guys don't like to get their prostrate checked because of the insertion of a finger into the rectum. Remind him of that! It's your body, after all!

Generally, if it hurts, you're doing it wrong.
Despite what you read here, anal sex is not horrible and wrong. However, if you really do not like it, then just don't do it. If you're interested in giving it a go, then please, please look up some proper resources on how to prepare, and not get scared off by all the people who don't know any better. There are plenty of internet pages, as well as books with titles like "The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex."
The majority of people who answer these types of questions have never tried it, and resort to doom and gloom to make sure no one else tries it, either.

It is my understanding that anal sex is usually fairly uncomfortable. The anus just wasn't meant for that kind of activity. Also, since the membranes of the rectum are so thin, they tear easily. Unless this is something that is really important to you, i wouldn't suggest it-- it can cause a lot of infections. I would suggest rear-entry vaginal sex. It allows for similar positioning and the angle can be very stimulating for both partners.

There is nothing abnormal about not liking anal sex. Don't do anything that hurts. Lubricant could help it not hurt as much.

It is not abnormal top dislike anal sex. It can hurt and be uncomfortable, causing you to dislike it right away. However, if done correctly, it can be one of the most pleasureable experiences you will ever have. I suggest researching it first before trying it again!

No it's not abnormal that it hurts. Things weren't meant to be stuck in there.

If you keep doing it, try Wet Light as a lubricant. You can get it at an adult shop.

Anal sex is abnormal. The anus is much smaller than the vagina & is meant for defecation, not penetration. Of course it hurts!!!
