t/4 + t/3 =9

multiply everything by 12 to get

7t = 108
7t/7 = 108/7

(t/4)+(t/3)=9

try this

(3t/12)+(4t/12)=9

i just made the fractions have the same denominator

so you have
(3t+4t)/12=9

12(3t+4t)/12=9(12)

7t=108

t=108/7
