It's provably because the player wearing the red cleats thinks is really good and can get away with just anything like wearing a frog on top of their heads or red boots. But even though wearing something out of the ordinary can boost your confidence and may affect your game, the truth is that the cleats have very little or no effect on the players ability to control the ball. They also want to call attention to themselves and if you notice the red color on their shoos, then most likely they succeeded in doing so. Chances are that the player is actually good..... go figure.

lol thats a funny question, i guess i should say why i think that. I know a few players who wear colored boots to confuse another player when they are doing many moves at once. kinda like a blur effect. other ppl who might be new just like the color. i think its all color preference i prefer white boots. that can create a blur effect i like and i just like white boots. So no, i would never assume that just because someone is wearing colored boots that they are good.

A lot of places with indoor its only strongly suggested to wear them, but in outdoor you must. They also must be a certain length for your height when you enter high school. No matter how good of a player you are, you are still going to get hit in the ankle and shin. Look at the likes of Eduardo Da Silva, he broke his shin bone, and he is a professional soccer player. Shin guards are a must even if you think you are the best player in the world.

My opinion is that wearing anything but black enables the defender to pick up his opponent's footwork, better, and should not be an advantage. Those who wear these other-colored boots are hoping their opponents will pick up every move except the last one, and there's the difference between brilliance and run-of-the-mill.

No, the cleats don't make the player.

No. You have to see the player's touch and movement on and off the ball. Especially how they kick the ball. That'll tell you alot about their technique.
