If you have gestaional diabetes,and they have to schedule you to have a c-section can they do it earlier before 40 weeks? And also can they inuduce you if you ask if you are far enough along? I am 36 weeks.

Yes. Baby is fully developed at 38 wks.

i had three scheduled c-sections all at 39 weeks they don't wait to 40 because they don't want to do an emergency one. they usually don't induce until you are at least 41 weeks. Gestational diabetes has little to do with it it's about baby development his lungs aren't ready before 39.

my doctor says anytime after 39 weeks unless there is a problem. I am due oct 3rd but can have my c section between sept 26 to whenever. I have it scheduled for sept 29th but I am so miserable I may call tomorrow and up the date

I have diabetes and they said that if no problems than they would deliver at 37 weeks.

Some docs will do it after 37 wks as long as baby is healthy (both C-sec and induction)

depends on the doctor. most will not do anything until you are 40 weeks.
