Intoxication isn't an excuse for stupidity. If he made a threat,he deserves whatever he gets.

That depends on a lot of factors, listed as:

A) What was the context of the threat?

B) Does the threatener have a restraining order against them?

C) Is the threatener on probation?

D) How much money does the threatener have?

If the person who made the threat (a/k/a the treatener) has a enough money, anything is possible, including winning this case.

Good Luck

Right now they are taking any kind of threat very seriously. I was in an apartment complex office and this man was in there threatening the manager, the manager called the police, they heard the man, and came and arrested him. The police told this man that after 9/11 all threats are taken very seriously. I wish him all the best if he really didn't do it or mean it.

Could be. Just because he was drunk doesn't excuse his behavior. He might have been drunk enough to follow through on his threat. People do things when intoxicated that they wouldn't normally do when sober.
