Is that the million dollar question!!, No but I have even tried a meeting with them to clean up after themselves and the room they sit in is still a mess. I have a meeting with them in a few weeks, What can get them to clean up after them selves and take heed any suggestions.

Tell them every time you find their room messy,Who ever stuff it is ,is going to lose vidio game,Comuter,Ect.Or if their older lose going out for week,No car,Ect.And make it a week punishment with out something they use every day or love to do,Trust me,After first week of losing something,I promise you they will pick up after their Selfs![I Know went threw it with my Two children when they were younger!]But Mom,Don,t get soft and take punisment away early[Not even a day]Or their not gona take you seriously or respect your Wishes!Stick to your Word!Good Luck!Hollywood!

You can't men just don't as they don't think that anything is wrong, its a male thing, and it drives females nuts, wish i had some magical answer for you, They love hanging their clothes on the floor, and they think that their dirty clothes should walk to the laundry by themselves, and of course cups,plates and things that grow, they just clean themselves.............but hey worse than a untidy male is, is a dirty, untidy women. which my daughter was, once something went into her room, it was never seen again.

ignore them, leave them to it. no man can live in his own filth for too long. it all depends on whether you can hold out longer than they can.
im almost 50, and i was like it then, and im like it now, why, because my wife picks up after me, occasionally she stops, and within a few days i have to pick up as i cant get across teh bedroom floor for my discarded clothes... but i soon need to be reminded.. the laundry bin is not a target... its no good aiming in the general direction...socks have no homing instincts...and shirts cannot fly to the washing machine...news to me...
were men, were scruffy unkempt pigs, we smell bad, we fart in bed and we leave washiing all over the floor... and any man who says differently is a liar. and women, you didnt fall in love with mr perfect... what you see is what you get.

I have never had this problem... I simple say clean up or get the hell out. Of course they know I truly mean it as well...

If you are in that situation where you can...bribery!
Offer something they can't resist.
If there are a few then draw up a rota, that way if a job isn't done everyone knows who to blame.
Nagging, shouting, crying talking etc; .. don't work.

they simply shake it often, yet I wish they might wipe the top as some dont pay interest and land up dripping drops on their boxers/briefs and later in case you want to furnish em oral intercourse it smells gently of urine....yuck!
