No, absolutely not! He did more for animal awareness and education than anyone in history. He never provoked or badgered the animals and he showed the general public that all animals are wonderful. Even the dangerous ones.

That is complete bullsh*t. He never hurt any animal, what he did was help people learn about them. He was an animal rights activist, he did what he could to help different species from becoming extinct. Besides his family the animals were his greatest love! He helped people understand some very misunderstood, and feared animals. The fact that he was getting attacked and hurt by these animals but yet kept coming back only shows how much he cared for and wanted to help them. He made people love many different species, and breeds of animals for the sole purpose that humans wanna save things that they love! He didn't just do it for the fame or anything he was doing all of this way b4 the TV show ever started, he was working at the Zoo, for years and had been dealing with Crocs since he was a young boy with his father, and he has passed that love for all living things on to his daughter and she followed in his, footsteps, and when she is old enough she will be the one to take his place. It is just wrong to say he did anything wrong to the animals there were some controversies about things he did but never one thing about him harming a single creature!

I really liked Steve. I do agree sort of but I think he just did what he loved to do, and knowing the consequences that are involved in such a risky business. As well bringing his family into it.plus he was from Australia and his wife L.A. so its kinda like the crocodile Dundee story. Although I didn't appreciate the circumstances he put his children in with the crocodile a few yr's ago. so I don't know if that helped but there you go.
