what is an undeveloped ego state.?

I am writing about a subscale which identifies adults with a high probability of having an undeveloped ego , where the id dominates. These indiviudals are inmates in a medium security prison, generally with a long history of crimnogenic thought and substance dependence.

Neurotic Defense: Dissociation, reaction formation, repression, sexualization, controlling displacement, externalization, inhibition, intellectualization, isolation rationalization, that have unacceptable logic.
