there are some instances where i think it would be beneficial. like if someone was expected to die and they were in so much pain then euthanasia would be considered. in my point, it all depends on where you draw that fine line between assisting in suicide, murder, or relieving the pain of the inevitable. euthanasia is used in the veterinary aspect, but we people are more. you have to give the human body the benefit of the doubt on whether they will fully recover. it's an amazing thing. i don't think this is a matter of legalization, but knowing the limits.

I can't think of a good enough reason. It *should* be legalised. I know that if I get to the end of my days and I'm in great pain and distress, yet unable to do away with myself as an able-bodied person would be able to, I would want it to be legal for someone to assist me in the exercise of my inalienable right to determine my own future.

What if the person you want to be euthanized still wants to live for example people in a comma cannot say what they feel and they still want to go on living but you want to end their life. That would be considered murder.

It's not legal? That woman told me that it was and that her hubby, who was suffering from a twisted ankle wouldn't want to suffer, and gee.. that's a beach. ... :( :)

It's murder. Could you be responsible for murdering someone yourself? Would you need to ask someone else to do it instead? Why would you want to put that off on them. If you did ask someone else to do it, what's the difference between you and someone who hires someone else to kill someone?
