Wow this is amazing ...I just rooted some jade cuttings today. What I do is dip the tip in rooting powder and root them in sand or perlite. That way you have less chance of root rot. If you root them in water the roots tend to be weaker...Good luck !

use a sterile, commercial potting soil (no insects or weed seeds) to which you have added course builders sand at a ratio of about 4 parts soil to 1 part sand. (The sand will help the soil to drain faster)

Withhold watering as much as possible until the leaves begin to shrivel a little, then water thoroughly. Repeat this process as necessary until the plant has rebuilt its root structure and is able to stand on it's own

Try rooting it in wet sand. Rooting in water can make the roots wimpy and rot. Once it's got roots an inch or so long you can translant it back into potting soil

Put it in water. It will grow roots within a week or two.
