Well, it all depends. Schools usually look at the "overall" grade point average, like if you have a 3.5 or higher. If you want to major in the arts, then you might be in trouble. Colleges also look at what classes you succeed in as well, so make sure that what you want to do, you are doing well right now in. Also, I dont know how many classes you are supposed to take, so I'm not quite sure how to answer your last question, but if thats under what you are supposed to, it might hurt, and you should make up for it with honors classes or extra classes in the future. If its over what you are supposed to take, then dont worry about it, they'll probably love an overachiever! :] Good luck.

First, do NOT capitalize "college" unless used with a specific name. Do not capitalize the names of school subjects unless they are followed by a course number or have a proper adjective in the title. Like American history; English literature.
The transcript will be the most important factor in getting into quality schools. The type and level of classes will matter. The number of courses will nto matter; the quality and challenge of the courses will.

That answer I think would be no and not neccessarily. Colleges concentrate on gpa, SAT and or ACT test scores in general when it comes to admission. But to be sure. If you're interested in a specific school, try going to their websites and contact their respective office of admissions. They may be able to give you information on their admissions criteria. Also most colleges will have the coursework/curriculims that each of the majors offer. So you can see what type of course work you'll be taking once you are in a particular program.

the art thing- no. a lot of colleges like that take out "dumb classes" and reccalculate the gpa. as for freshman year, maybe. it depends on wut classes u took.
and u really shouldnt stress urself out with worrying about mit and stanford. even if u dont go there, u can still go to a great college and have a great life!!! :)

You need to contact a counselor at those schools and ask them. They will lead you in the right direction.
