That kids are being dumb. If there's been a pair over your house for five years, you need to go to the power company IN PERSON (The AEP building in your area) and tell them that the shoes have been there for five years, and you'd like them removed. It could be eroding the wire!

hhahah I love seeing those.
It means someone took someone else's shoes and threw them up on the wire.
Its a prank kids play on other kids. Then you gotta go home and tell your mom where your shoes went, cause no one is getting them down.
