Gargle with peroxide. It'll bubble and fizz in your mouth and turn the canker sore white, but it will be healing by the time you wake up tomorrow.

Canker sores are caused by some sort of excessive immune response (and internal virus always in your body), believed by doctors to be exacerbated by stress. Try getting 8+ hours (lots) of sleep each night and get extra vitamin C (fruit or juice), and the canker sores should disappear within 1 or 2 weeks.
