2296.8million kg = 2296.8 x 1000000 = 2296800000 kg
2296800000 divides by 1000 = 2296800 tons of fruits.
b) 2296800 divides by 30000000 = 0.1 ton of fruit a typical canadian ate.

2296.8 x 10^6 kg divided by 1000 is 22968000 tons of fruit.

22968000 tons of fruit divided by 30 000 000 people equals 0.07 tons per person. The closest decimal unit would be 0.1
