Hi.
Does anyone know what the advantages and disadvantages are for parasites living on human skin please?

Just to clarify...what are the advantages and disadvantages for the PARASITE not the human. Thanks.

The parasite would get needed nutrients from the human. They would have an easy blood supply source. It is also advantageous because the human body will serve as transportation allowing the parasites to spread over a large area.

The disadvantages could be that humans may easily discover the parasite and use force to remove and kill them. They may also face adverse conditions because the skin can become too dry. They may also be subjected to soap and other chemicals that humans use to clean themselves.

If it were a true parasitic relationship, there would be no benefit. Still, there are benefits to the presence of microscopic commensal organisms. They clear debris that might eventually harbor a pathogen and by co-existing with the benefical types, they may prevent not-benefical types from establishing themselves.

The disadvantages are that they may result in allergic reactions or grow out of control and start causing harm.

Hi. Dust mites live on skin cells. There are millions of them in your carpet right know. The have an abundant food source.

i don't think they are such a beneficiary thing. you should avoid them.
