When I think of this question I think of all the great humanitarians, philosophers and luminary lights of the past that I could spend the day with however when it comes down to brass tacks, I would have to say my dad. It's those who have touched our lives on a daily basis that mean so much. In my case it would be to tie up some loose ends that may be lingering still. My father died of cancer and toward the end he was here bodily but not here in spirit. I would just like to sit and talk with him one last time, hug him and tell him I love him.

My grandfather died about 5 years ago, and at his funeral I was thinking I never told him how proud I was of being his granddaughter. If I had the chance I would love to spend a day with him and just tell him that I love him, I miss him and I am very proud of being his granddaughter.

I would spend the day with my grandmother learning all the language and history she could give to me about my ancestors.
My grandmother was a Cherokee Indian, graduated from a Cherokee Female Seminary in Oklahoma. At that time in history, Indians were discouraged from speaking their native language and encouraged to assimilate into English speaking society. My grandmother taught school in Indian Territory, but was prohibited, by law, from teaching her own children the Cherokee language.
It is imperative that one learn the language of the culture and society one lives in; but, it is not imperative that one has to completely abandon the language and culture into which they were born.

Wow, I almost posted this exact same question! I would have to pick one of my parents, both died 17 years ago. My Mom and I would thank her, apologize for all the grief I gave her and my Dad.
I would hug her and let her know how much I miss and love her, also tell her about my 9 year old son and ask how my Dad is. Oh, if only............... Thanks, that was nice, to just think about!!!!

My older brother. I never got to tell him that I admired him and that i was proud of him. There were so many things I wish I had said to him. I wish I could spend some time just talking.

My Great-Grampie would be my pick, since I miss him alot and even when he was dying he wanted me to be there with him. And what I would want to do one last time is sit on the floor by his rocking chair and eat crackers with him just like we used to when I was a little kid. I would also want to go outside and sit in the yard with him also like we used to when I was little. He was my favorite grampie although he died when I was 5, I still would like to go back.

I would spend the day with Kurt Cobain from Nirvana. As for what we would do, probably just something simple like go for a walk and chat.

I think it would be too painful. You get the person back, and then... bang, next day, gone again. Grieve all over again. Took me years to get over the person I loved most in the world in the first place.

My Brother- He was killed by a drunk driver just before his 18th birthday and I would hug him and tell him I loved him so much and I,d tell him about all that happened to our loved ones while he was dead. I,d through a party and invite the whole family so we could all just love him and hear his voice and see his smile one more day.
