It usually works fine, but sometimes I can't type anything so I have to restart it.So what's wrong.

A few things
1) Your keyboard might have died
2) The USB or PS/2 port where you plug your keyboard in might have died
3) You could have malaware
4) Your keyoard settings changed. Go to Control Panel-Keyboard

IIght try the following :
Launch internet explorer
Go to tools (Which is located on the top)
Select internet properties
Clear your cache and everything
than go to run, typ in msconfig
click startup tab
and start unchecking the programs there
click ok and restart that should fix it if not email me 4 more info

check to see if there's any piece of hardware not plugged into its slot tight, like the hard disks or the RAM, otherwise it should be a software error or corrupted hardware, hard disk or ram..
