Yes, shallow, silly cows, when they can get their mujaheddin to pay for it. Then they think the sand will be softer, the miles will be less, and the sun not quite as bright just because they have two great, useless heffalumpers to have to drag around with them, killing their poor, tired old backs. And sadly, they were just perfect the way they were before. Or as perfect as a camel can ever be.
Now no one can ride them because they're always being bounced off, the other camels snicker at them behind their tails and to their faces, and the only friends they have are the shallow and those who are just out for a one-night-ride, and then they'll never call again. Big humps are a nice novelty, but nothing anyone wants to wake up to every day. And when they get old, their once-treasured humps hang to their knees.
So the camels wind up on Prozac or out on the streets, or doing lap dances for the debauched and the unloved.

They do. But their camel husbands still leave them for younger and perkier looking camels. You know the ones ... bubbly voice, er honking noise, pelt bleached blonde, always at the gym on the treadmill and never eating more then a few pieces of lettuce.
