Everybody has left Bush. Look how many people "resigned" after his last election. Every week it seemed someone was ditching this idiot.
Democrats hate him, Moderates hate him, Liberals hate him, now Republicans hate him. You know you suck as a President when your own party can't stand you.
Lets take a look at what America thinks about this moron. http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm
Now lets see if America thinks he's the worst President ever. http://www.pollingreport.com/wh-hstry.htm
Now lets see how intelligent our President is http://www.cutepiggy.com/george_w_bush.html
The Prosecution rests it's case.

You are exactly correct. I am one of those conservatives. Here is some proof:
1. The approval ratings for Republicans in Congress have been below 30%. About 30% of the country votes Democrat and 30% Republican. If the approval numbers are below this, the base is pissed off.
2. There are just enough moderate Republicans that things do not get done. There are RINO's like Sen Chaffee, Collins, and Snowe. There are media hogs like McCain and his sidekick Graham. They have sucked in Warner and a few others. It takes 6 of these fools to stop the Republican agenda.
3. Republicans have been in power for the better part of 12 years. They were great in the beginning. They have since lost their ways.
Things the Republicans have done or not done to piss off conservatives:
1. Ignoring the border situation. Guilty parties Bush and Senate
2. Spending too much Guilty House, Senate, and Bush
3. Not making English the official language Guilty all 3
4. Allowing the NY Times to publish leaked classified information all 3.
This is a good start.

Bush and his wing of the party are very polarizing - there is very much a "with us or against us" mentality. While that can work on select issues, when applied across-the-board to governing it ends up causing problems.
Personally, I suspect it's because so few of the key policymakers ever served in a legislative body and thus never reallly learned the long-term necessity of compromise. Thus, they are often forcing beliefs upon party members who are unable to support those beliefs because of personal, religious, or even mere electability reasons.

Wrong, the republican party is being screwed up mostly by the RINOs, the free spenders and those who listen to the main stream medias nonsense. The Christian base isn't going anywhere.
