I heard that Version is doing wireless access points everywhere you go. Basically it's just a satellite that everyone can connect to anywhere, anytime. No doubt the other companies will follow suit eventually.

The c. crane co. has a new antenna that slides into a USB port
and can pick up signals for 1/4 mile away.
This is the best so far.

satellite phone is only way, very expensive. you can get signal boosters that will help in most areas.
