How many teens here parents bought them a car im 19 and have to buy my own which is impossible I need a car that 3 or 4 thousand.

I paid $600 for my car. Why would you want a car that shows you can afford a big price, if you really can't afford it? Would you be lying to yourself or trying to impress someone?

Why do you need a car that's 3 or 4 thousand? I bought my own car when I was 18 for $1,200. It was a 91 chevy cavalier. I saved up my money on my own and bought it. My second car I just bought last August and I'm now 23. It's a 98 chevy cavalier and it was $3,000 plus my 91 trade in. It has a cd player, rims, tinted windows, and a security system. So I got a really good deal I think. My last car had 164,000 miles on it when i got rid of it. Your first car might not be exactly what you want, but it's better than nothing. My car was red which I don't really like red. But I didn't really care. I was tired of carpooling to school and I have my own car for college. Some people in college didn't even have their own car. Don't worry so much about it. You will have plenty of time to get a nicer car that you want in a few years. Just get something decent to start out in. It feels really nice to buy your own car without your parents help.

I bought my own car when i was 17. my dad co-signed the loan and I had to make the monthly payments.
if you're looking for a car at that price range, go to www.autotrader.com. they have plenty of cars between $3-4K.

My parents didn't even let me DRIVE their car with my learners permit ! I too was on my own, & never had anyone to buy a vehicle for me.
