-16+5v=-4v+2
5v+4v=2+16
9v=18
v=2

v-4(4-v)=-2(2v-1)
v-16+4v=-4v+2(distributive property)
5v-16=-4v+2(simplification)
9v-16=2(add 4v to each side of the equation)
9v=18(add 16 to both sides)
v=2(divide both sides by 9 to get v by itself)

multiplying by -4 and by -2 on other side
v-16+4v=-4v+2
5v-16= -4v+2
5v+4v=16+2
9v=18
v= 18/9
v=2
