I have this annoying icon at the bottom of my screen and it keeps giving me a pop up. If I click on it I get a lousy advertisement for a spyware cleaner. I've tried everything I know to get rid of it. I picked up something from the internet. I run several programs including zone alarm and McAfee. Thanks!!!

That is umm.......crap, what is that......I think its spyware quake. Just go to my link (Sign up, its free) and post your problem on there. Now the problem with spyquake is that you can't remove it with your basic Spysweeper or Spybot Search & Destroy. It goes MUCH deeper then that because you have to use programs like KillBox and Ewido Antispy and definitely HijackThis so don't try to fic it on your own. Get some help with this. I've been through this before so I know you need more then your average antispyware program to remove it.

Agent Scully Geek Squad Reporting,
Ok Here's the deal Uninstall Zone alarm it sux. Don't got the best buy or Comp USA they'll cram web root down your throat and that sux too. go to Microsoft and download Windows Defender. and download Ad Aware (It's Free). download it, install it. then Reboot in to safe mode (Hold down F8 before you see the WIN XP splash screen) select Safe mode w/ network support. then run both in safe mode. Safe mode loads only minimal windows drivers. and not the spyware.
Good luck

make sure you have windows service pack 2. If you dont have this, messages will pop up even when you are not online. Search the web for a legitimate place to download it. As long as you already paid for the operating system the service pack will be free to download.
