okay here we go about 20 years ago i was working on a furnace in a old barn, i saw a glass jug and asked if i might have it, the customer was glad to get rid of it, this glass jug is just like the old oak barrels that were used to cure wine or whiskey except that it looks like they took hot glass and poured it over the barrel, i mean there are bolt marks in it, and on the bottom there are worm lines, that etched themselves in the wood, id gladly send anybody a pic if they think they can help idnetify it and give me an idea of a price....ive tried several antique dealers and they have no idea of what or who made it

where do You live ? I'm not 100% sure but, it sound's like an old maple syrup jug.

Ask a blacksmith. They might know.
